Isle of May

Peak experiences always seem to come forth through the paintings. This one is no exception. On excursions returning to the mainland from the Isle of May, pufflings (baby puffins) are released far enough from the island to avoid the lurking seagulls. I was honoured to release a puffling on one such journey, and was surprised and delighted as I worked in the studio to recognise that this series of paintings reflect that experience. Approx. 60 x 60 x 4 cm (approx. 24 x 24 x 1.5 in), acrylic and mixed media on canvas.
